NYC July 2013 Pt.2

Friday after eating all day we ended in bryant park and hung out         Saturday morning we ran in Central park . The hilly terrain just destroyed myself and Shannon and my foot . After 3/12 miles into the run , Heat, Hills , and Injury halted any further progress. Ashley(5 miles) and Sherri(6 miles) had a sucessful run . I will be out of the running game for a least 2 -3 months as a result of re- injury.

        Saturday afternoon we went to Jimmy and Jeff's house in Rivervale N.J.    We had a great time and we went out ot eat in Westchester County NY. took the Hudson line back to NYC.

On our way back to NYC we got off at Grand Central Station , walked around crowded Times square then called it a day and headed home.

Sunday we went back to Central Park rented rented bikes and met Rob , Dawn, Kris and Dee and had dinner that evening. 

Monday walked the Brooklyn Bridge and bowled 5 games at bowlarama with Charlie YO YO till 1 am.The bowling kicked my ass!

Tuesday we went to Mike's house , He's on the 6th fl with NO elavator. First off we got there and went up the"wrong" 6  flight of stairs and had to go down and climb another 6 flights to his crib. 

We had a great time with Mike and we had lunch at the "Bow-wow" cafe . Mike wanted to walk in central park but I was absolute "toast" at this time in our trip. Muscles & Foot were aching.

Wednesday we walked the "High Rail" and went out with Margaret for dinner. Went to Hoboken NJ and had dinner with A.D. and Rob.

Thursday Staten Island Ferry and St. Patricks catherdral to say a few prayers.Visited Stacy in Battery Park on the 32nd fl. Luckly her building has an elavator.

Friday Charlie YoYo took us to the Museum of Modern Art 

Saturday we met Jimmy and Jeff for lunch in Tribecca. Saturday evening at 8 pm our flight back to Orlando.

NYC July 2013 Pt.1

Our mid-summer trip to NYC . We left on July 5-13 to stay with Margaret in Greenwich Village. Its been 3 yrs since our last visit with her. We arrived on a Friday and immediately got right into it . Charlie took us out to lunch and the fun began.

Its a GIRL !!

This evening(Thursday 4-11-13) around 4:45 Don,Sherri, Ashley and Shannon gathered around the computer and had a skype session with Tara and Tyler as they announced the gender of their first child "A GIRL"!!! Don & Sherri's first grandchild/daughter ,Ashley and Shannons first niece. Life is great!!

Here your looking at "historic" first picture of baby . Baby is around 4 weeks old. Baby seems very relaxed with feet in a nice comfy bent position with his hands behind his head , just chillin'. Gender has yet to be determined."Gender announcement day" is set for Thursday April 11 at 4 PM via skype.Stay tuned !! :)

Great News !!!

Saturday Feb. 23rd ...  Great news !!! Our first born 26 years ago is now having her first child and giving us our first grandchild !!!                                                                                                        Well it was this Saturday evening that T & T made the fantastic announcement that they are expecting their first child.  Caught us all by surprise!! Tara made her presentation as she wanted us to watch a new dvd with "unseen footage" of the wedding ...Well we watched a few scenes of the wedding then it changes to pictures of her sonogram ... Great news !!!   Due date .. Sept.19th

What a battle it was ....Timo  17 year old vs Tanner 7 month old ... 
Also Tanner just got neutered , tooth pulled and extra claw removed less than 24 hrs ago. Dr's orders no physical activity for 2-4 weeks. Tanner is tough as nails !!

Color Run 5K... Sunday Jan.13,2013

Color Run 5 K Family ..Sunday Jan. 13,2013 Orlando Florida. Our family Don, Shannon, Sherri, Ashley, Tara,& Tyler ran the area around the citrus bowl as we were pelted with "color"... had so much fun ... Ashley (aka BULLET) came in first place in our family by at least a minute .. was not a chip/timed run but we used our Nike running app to track our times. It was Shannon and Tylers first 5 K .

Our new dog "Tanner " ...

                     Meet Tanner from South Carolina ...he  is a 'Carolina Dingo".. Tanner is a rescue .. actually abandoned in the woods . Grandma Ellen fostered him for about a month. We fell in love with him while visiting Grams and hence the newest member of our family . Tanners about 6 months old. His first day on Florida soil was Jan. 20, 2013
